AIR TOXICS WORKSHOP
The objective of this project is to bring
together the key individuals and organizations working on current issues on
mobile source air toxics.
Current Status and Future Program
The Atmospheric Impacts Committee hosted the CRC
Mobile Source Air Toxics Workshop in Phoenix in 2006 as a follow-up to the first
two workshops held in Scottsdale in 2004 and in Houston in 2002. As with the
two previous events, this workshop brought together key government, academic and
industry researchers, and stakeholders working in this area.
The 2006 Air Toxics Workshop (A-45a) program
agenda was developed with the aid of consultant Dr. Steve Japar and the workshop
development co-chairs, Drs. Jim Ball and Dan Baker and representatives from EPA,
CARB, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), API, SCAQMD, NREL, NESCAUM,
DRI, and NUATRC (National Urban Air Toxics Research Center) as members of the
workshop organizing committee. The Workshop was held October 23-25, 2006, at the
Hyatt Regency in Phoenix, AZ. Co-chairs at the workshop were Rory MacArthur and
Jim Ball. The proceedings of the meeting were distributed to participants in
January 2007.
