CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF AUTOMOTIVE EXHAUST PARTICULATE MATTER IN THE ATMOSPHERE
(CRC Project No. CAPE-19-70)
Objective: To determine the physical and chemical characteristics of particulate matter from internal combustion engines as a function of sampling procedure, engine operating conditions including emission control system, fuel composition, and residence time in the atmosphere. Emphasis was placed on the study of particulate matter during its lifetime in the atmosphere.
NTIS Accession No. Contractor
